Every child safe, every game a good one.

Rugby should be fun, safe and inclusive for every child. From coaches to volunteers to parents, we all play a part — in line with Rugby Australia's safety and conduct guidelines.

At Dalby & District Rugby Football Club Inc, keeping kids safe isn't a policy on a shelf — it's how we run every training session and every Saturday game. Everyone who works with our juniors is checked, trained, and accountable, so families can trust the environment their kids are growing up in.

What we do to keep kids safe

Think of it as the boundary lines of the game — four checkpoints every coach
and volunteer passes through before they're anywhere near our juniors.

Checkpoint 1

Working With Children Checks

Every coach and volunteer holds a current WWCC before they set foot on the training paddock with kids.

Checkpoint 2

Smart Rugby training

Coaches complete Smart Rugby, covering child safety, inclusivity and positive coaching practices.

Checkpoint 3

Rugby Australia's policy

We adopt RA's Child and Young Person Safeguarding Policy at club level — no local exceptions.

Checkpoint 4

Shared responsibility

Volunteers, coaches, staff and parents all share the job of keeping the environment safe.
