Junior Rugby

The Dalby Rugby Union Club encourages you to consider getting your child involved in the Juniors competition. The 2026 season runs from April through to August.

Registration includes player insurance, socks and shorts and training shirt. Jerseys are provided for each week’s play and returned at the end of the season. Players are covered under the ARU player insurance and player registration with Downs Rugby.

Junior registrations for 2026 age groups are as follows:

Get into Rugby - Walla, 5 yrs (born 2021) - $85

Get into Rugby - Tri-Time, 6 & 7 yrs (born 2019-2020) - $200

Juniors 8-12 yrs (born 2013-2017) - $210

Training is on Thursday afternoons at the Rugby grounds from 4pm and games are on a Saturday. The Dalby Juniors have teams from Under 6s through to Under 12s for both boys and girls.

2026 sees the continuation of the Get Into Rugby - Walla program for 5 year olds. This takes the place of Little Rugby which we have run in previous years. Walla will run alongside junior training from March (date to be confirmed). There will also be a few opportunities for these little ones to participate in Saturday morning rugby with the big kids. The Saturday dates are to be confirmed, and are not compulsory. You can opt in or out for each Saturday session depending on what suits you and your family.

The teams play Tri-Tag Rugby in under 6s and under 7s so they get used to ball skills and running up. See information about Tri Tag here
